Discover JB by the Sea, our charming Nags Head Cottage nestled in the heart of OBX. Recently renovated and tastefully decorated, this beach haven promises a perfect getaway equipped with a pool, hot tub, and tiki bar. It is only .2 miles to get to the beach and ideally located near popular restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, and an abundance of activities. Our cottage is situated on a cul-de-sac with no through traffic and in a very walkable / bikeable area with ample sidewalks & side streets

Your cottage's proximity to the beach, being just a 2-minute drive or a short 6-minute walk away, is a fantastic feature for your guests. Additionally, the amenities available at Bladen Street for beach parking, such as paved parking, handicap parking, porta-potties, outdoor showers, sand access, wooden walkways, and pet waste bags, will surely enhance the beach experience for your visitors. House Rules

* Parking is limited to five vehicles, which is tight. No yard or street parking possible at our location. Our septic system is in our side yard - please do not drive or park in the yard. This will damage our fragile system. * We live locally just a few minutes away from our rental property. This property is not suitable for parties, events or illegal activities. We are excited to share our beach house, which we reserve in the off-season for our family members. Our neighborhood consists of full-time residents (like us), second home owners and a small number of rental properties. WE INSIST THAT ALL RENTERS respect our neighbors at the property and the noise ordinance in our town to reduce outdoor noise after 10:00 pm at night. * Pets! We are big dog people. However, dogs should not be left barking in the house all-day causing a disturbance to neighbors. Please plan for your pet on these hot summer days! Most importantly, all pets should be flea and tick free prior to arrival and on flea and tick preventative. If the property requires pest treatment, the guest will be penalized. There is no fence in the yard. Please be respectful of the neighbors when taking dogs in the yard. The neighbors do not want dogs in their yard and monitor their property. They contact us directly with issues. * No dogs are allowed in the pool. Even a hypoallergenic, poodle-doodle dog that has dander is equivalent to 20 people using the pool and our pump system according to our pool company. Our pool vendor does inform us when animals have been in the pool, which will result in additional costs to you and the guests. * Lastly, Pool + Hot Tub + Water Safety is our top priority. Never prob open the pool gate. PLEASE inform us of any safety issues or concerns immediately so that we can have them addressed. We have a vendor that maintains the pool and hot tub on the weekly basis to ensure cleanliness for all guests. >>> Visit our private website to see water safety tips.

(.5 mi or 9 minute walk or shorter bike ride) Drive to Bonnett Street Beach Access, which has 68 available parking spots, stabilizing beach mat for wheelchairs, wooden walkway, lifeguard and bathhouse. Our cottage also has an outdoor shower for getting clean after a sandy beach day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at JB by the Sea. The house was clean, well-stocked, in a great location, and Natalie was quick to respond to any questions. We were able to easily walk to the beach & several of our favorite places (Tortugas, Lucky 21, Nags Head Pier, Surfin' Spoon, Dowdy Park Farmer's Market, Front Porch Cafe). The house itself was just as shown in the pictures. The A/C worked really well despite temps in the 90s for several days, which we've found is not always the case in the OBX. The black-out curtains in the bedrooms were FANTASTIC. The jellyfish/sea lice were bad several days, so it was nice to come back to the pool/tiki bar and hang out. Overall, we had a great time & would 100% recommend this house to anyone.

This was a lovely property with every detail thoughtfully planned. There even was a child's high chair, and pack n' play available! Towels were folded into fish like on a cruise ship! This was an all star host with an excellent cleaning crew.

Loved the house and location! Close enough to the beach and far enough away from the rush. Loved the setup of the house and that there were plenty of king/queen beds plus the bunks. Everyone loved the pool!!
